What is the mirror?

Yoga and meditative practices is often understood as a mirror. And the confrontation we have on our mat, with our own body or experience of moving and being in our body, with our constantly passing thoughts, or emotional fluxes, are all very good examples of this mirroring. What we meet in our practice are pieces and glimpses of ourselves as we flow (or struggle;)!) ourselves through sequences and moments of direct contact. And sometimes it feels like honey. And other times, it can feel very exposing and challenging. So how do you deal with that? Then and there? And in general?

What is one thing (or more) revealed to you, about yourself, in yoga or other meditative practices? Some reoccurring themes coming up?

Here’s an interesting article by Chip Hartranaft on yoga and Buddhism,

Enjoy!

Mirror neurons, more on that another day;)
