20 Sep Balancing realities of lives
As a clinician I meet many people throughout a week, and hear touching stories and getting glimpses into so many lives. One question I get alot is if I take my work home with me, or how I manage to deal with all the stories people share with me.
And my reply is that it varies. It varies if I bring stories home, and how I deal with them.
Sometimes I write. Not necessarily about the stories themselves, though on topics that are awoken within me or remind me of something, basically it could be anything. Thus this blog…;) Also I practice, meditation or breathing exercises or I move myself through a sequence of asanas. It gives space within, and it helps moving energy. I go for walks, do something I’m interested in, or just hang out. I watch television. Horrible non-serious, superficial tv-shows, fun movies (romantic-comedies are definitely one of my favorite categories of choice!), and what-not. Different things works at different moments.
